BiographySoundTraffik is a 3 piece electronic dance, rock / electro / pop band who are based on the Gold Coast, Queensland. Sound Traffik is:Ben: Producer, Guitar, Synth Bass, Keyboard. Giv: Producer, Electric Drums, Pads, Mixing. Jason: Vocals. HistoryIn October 2007 Ben and Giv formed ST to express their own take on dance music fused by rock, electro and tech elements. With both producers being involved in music industry for a long time, the passion for making new sounds and modern way of thinking towards dance music has seen many tracks being produced since the formation of the band. In November, 2009 Jason joined SoundTraffik as the lead vocalist. BenIs a guitar player, composer and keyboard player. He started his musical journey in 1992 and relocated to Australia in 2003. He studied classical piano from age of 11, the classical influences are a recurring trademark in his work. His influences range from Bach to Deep Purple. Ben's music was more directly inspired by neo-classical music. He possessed a versatile production and performance range capable of creating and playing both rock and more classically influenced themes. Although he didn't release any albums, he is credited with writing and arranging the music with various bands, in addition to writing all the compositions himself. In 2007 he began production as a fulltime member of SoundTraffik. GivPlays drums and has solid background in production. He has been DJ-ing for a decade and has owned and managed Toomba Record on the Gold Coast for half a decade. Holding very strong residencies at iconic clubs such as Elsewhere (Gold Coast), La La Land (Byron Bay), Berlin Bar, Baja, Empire (Brisbane) and having guest appearances at a large variety of clubs across Australia, Giv has no problems nailing the perfect mix for the night. Giv has also played in out door festivals such as SummaFieldDays 2003, 2004 and 2005 (4 hour set at Vodafone tent), 2006, 2008, 2009 and 2010, Two Tribes 2003, Big Day Out 2006, 2007 and 2008 (Elsewhere Clubtainer at Lilly World), Good Vibrations 2007, 2008, 2009, Future Festival 2008 and 2010, StereoSonic 2008,2009, Round N Round 2007, Super Freaky Kinky (NYD 2006) and Splendour on the Grass 2006. He has been the Sunday night Music director for Elsewhere for the past 6 years and continues to manage the bookings, promotion, Dj-ing and special events for the night branded as Royale, one of Queensland's most iconic industry nights. JasonBorn in Adelaide, Jason recently decided to move to the Gold Coast. He plays guitar and looks after all the main and backing vocals in the band. His meeting with SoundTraffik was inevitable! ReleasesSound Trafiik's first international release is a remix for Sharam Jey’s brand new single Army Of Men released on January 19th (King Kong Records) featuring Cornelia. The single is backed with remixes by Sound Traffik, TAI, Arthur Baker, the Disco Trash Music and more.
